My Cats have me Hostage.  Please Help!

Mon Mar 31, 2008 at 06:50:14 AM PDT

I've been taken hostage by cats.

Yes, the Six Ragdoll cats own me and they are FRIGGIN' serious this time, OK?

They have demands.  I need help, if I am to get out to make more money to buy them food.

They call my house KITMO.

They insist I work each day and bring home the groceries, as long as the groceries don't include fruit or vegies.

They want you to send money too, or volunteer at your local animal shelter, or they will continue making me go to work each day and bring home the groceries (did I mention that they won't allow fruit or vegies)?

It is spring, so lots of new kittens and puppies will be finding their way into a local Animal Shelter near you.  If you can, please donate some kitten, puppy, cat or dog food, or your time to your local shelter.

Credit Crunch is getting deeper in US

Thu Mar 27, 2008 at 06:05:53 AM PDT

I was doing my usual perusing of the foreign newspaper and media websites (this is how I get the real news without that well known BushCo bias) and I came across an article at BBC.co.uk that caught my attention.

The credit crunch has hit the US economy hard. From Wall Street to Main Street, loans that looked rock-solid a year ago now look shaky.

And the US central bank, the Federal Reserve, is throwing away the rule book to contain the effects.

  My emphasis.

That is a pretty strong statement.  The Federal Reserve is Throwing Away The Rule Book to contain the effects.

There is more.

The most Tone Deaf Human in the world

Tue Mar 25, 2008 at 05:18:12 AM PDT

Continues To Be Wrong.

The person that we Americans are forced to admit, under our breath, is actually the President of the United States of America, once again opened his ignorant mouth regarding a matter of such importance that even his myriad screw ups somehow pale in comparison to his latest complete mis-interpretation of reality.

President Bush pledged Monday to ensure "an outcome that will merit the sacrifice" of those who have died in Iraq, offering both sympathy and resolve as the U.S. death toll in the five-year war hit 4,000.
"One day, people will look back at this moment in history and say, ‘Thank God there were courageous people willing to serve because they laid the foundation for peace for generations to come,’ " Bush said at the State Department after a two-hour briefing on U.S. diplomatic strategy around the world. "I vow so long as I am president to make sure that those lives were not lost in vain."

Let us, you and I, check the first basic words in the simpletons paragraph.

Traditional Media just figured something out!

Sun Mar 16, 2008 at 06:55:47 AM PDT

Guess what?  The media has caught on!  Sure, a couple of years after those of us that have been paying attention already knew the answer, but HEY! at least they decided to report on it.  Only because it helps corporate interests, but they did finally report on it.

Go figure.

What, you ask, did they finally uncover?  The reason your food is costing more money!  WHOA!  Be still, my bank account.

From a story, issued from MSNBC late Friday afternoon.

Over the fold, por favor.

Administration can afford War. Humanitarian aid, not so much.

Sat Mar 01, 2008 at 10:41:22 AM PDT

Due to the soaring prices of food, especially wheat, corn, rice and other cereals, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) is drafting plans to reduce the number of nations receiving food aid as well as the amount of food supplied.

Please allow me to intrpret the Administrations words, in plain English.

Due to the price of the War in Iraq and the graft being paid to officials in Pakastan, Iraq, and various other shady dealings that are going on under the cover of "state secrets", we will be unable to continue sending food to starving people in other countries.  Our greed is such that the rising cost of food is cutting into our personal profits, and that will never do!

Please continue below.

So much for that draw down of troops.

Tue Feb 26, 2008 at 03:06:09 AM PDT

"To surge or not to surge!  That is the question!  Whether it is nobler to send more Americans off to face possible death, or to say I was wrong."

Heh!  Like I'm going to say I was wrong about something - G.W. Bush, Presnit USA

Back, oh a few months ago, the Bush/Petraeus/Cheney/Liberman/McCain Surge was going swimmingly!  We were told that it was going so VERY WELL that before the year 2008 was over, we would be reducing the number of American soldiers in the Iraqi theater down to less than the number of troops that were there pre-Bush/Petraeus/Cheney/Liberman/McCain Surge.

Well.  Not so much.

If you would be so kind as to read on below.

FISA.  No matter how you pronounce it.

Thu Feb 14, 2008 at 12:43:00 PM PDT

Dammit, this FISA voting within our Congress has become something of a pain in American's asses.

We have a simple, obvious issue that we would like to be straight forward, unabasahedly, non-questionably understood by the people of America.  We are asking the people that Americans voted for to ratify that.  YOU call it FEESA, I call it FYESA.  Who cares?

America calls it important. I'm tired of being walked on by goddamned Republics that I didn't vote for, you didn't vote for and America would like to kick in the ass for being stupid and not doing what we asked them to do.

The Democrats?  Well, I'll give you a list of those idiots that didn't get the fuckin' memo below.

It's official ! I'm not switching from Edwards to anyone.

Sat Jan 19, 2008 at 03:41:27 PM PDT

I would like to remind everyone that there are a few things in this world that are static.

The earth revolves.  I've seen it on pictures and stuff.

Cats purr.  I've heard it with my own ears and felt it with my own hands (I love the feeling of a purring cat.  It's so internally warming and makes you feel really good).

My family and I consider John Edwards to be our best hope as Democrats to truly return our country to We The People.

St. Ronnie offered clarity and optimism? Are you kidding me?

Thu Jan 17, 2008 at 04:04:16 AM PDT

I think Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not and in a way that Bill Clinton did not.  He put us on a fundamentally different path because the country was ready for it.  I think they felt like with all the excesses of the 1960s and 1970s and government had grown and grown but there wasn't much sense of accountability in terms of how it was operating.  I think people, he just tapped into what people were already feeling, which was we want clarity we want optimism, we want a return to that sense of dynamism and entrepreneurship that had been missing.

Barack Obama

Really?  People were feeling that REAGAN offered clarity and optimism?!?  You know, it looked like he offered Neo-Con fear and muddled ignorance to myself and anyone else that actually paid attention to what was going on during the corrupt, inept and slogan filled wingnut Reagan administration.

For those of you who don't remember, or didn't pay attention to the actual incredible evil that was visited on our country during the Reagan administration, I would suggest you actually use the Google to upgrade or update your knowledge.

About John Edwards (Media Rant involved)

Sun Jan 13, 2008 at 02:44:11 PM PDT

CNN does not know this person.

Faux News is chewing nails over this person.  He shut them down regarding Democrats being held hostage by Brit Hume and a bottle of vodka.

MSNBC can't find his name on a Google search.  Tweety only knows Hillary.  Joe only knows Hillary.  Oops, my bad.  Keith has Google and occasionally says Hi.

ABC heard of him once.  Back in 2004.

NBC?  They know a John.  He is a really nice guy that fetches coffee and danish prior to the morning show.  Sure they pay him minimum wage, but his smile is something to behold.  Not to mention, he makes sure the coffee is fresh.  He better, dammit!

CBS does not know a good thing until it hits them in the face.  Progressives don't hit as a rule, so CBS just doesn't know a good thing.

NPR.  The last bastion of true democratic discourse in this country.  Well, no.  Not anymore.

Something Fun!

Wed Dec 26, 2007 at 02:25:50 PM PDT

My wife and I breed cats.  Ragdolls to be exact.  Cats are the reason people became domesticated.  Before cats, there were caves.  There was also lice and nomadic chasing of the Mammoth.  Let's face it.  The Mammoth moved pretty well, but in a chase, even Neo-Con's would have figured a way to get it's oil before it outran them.

Thanks, from the Navy.

Tue Dec 25, 2007 at 11:36:25 AM PDT

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone.  My Dad said if I wanted to I could tell you something here.  I just got home last week from a cruise to and from the Persian Gulf and my Dad has shown me the stuff he wrote about our cruise here.  I got to read what you wrote back and you guys are really nice.

Our Navy son and his shipmates are home!

Fri Dec 21, 2007 at 10:27:21 AM PDT

On Wednesday, we went onto the naval base in Norfolk, VA to meet and greet our son who has been sailing on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65) in the Persian Gulf for the last 7 months.  They were part of a strike group that I suppose was part of Deadeye Dick and GWB's whet dream of bombing Iran when and if they could find any excuse to do so.

Our Navy boy (man) is back on US soil!

Sun Dec 16, 2007 at 02:46:37 PM PDT

After 7 months of doing figure 8's in the Persian Gulf, on an Aircraft Carrier filled to the brim with cruise missiles and bombs of all shapes, sizes and ability to eradicate whatever is in sight, our young man has landed on the sandy beaches of the United States of America!

YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAA!!

I just got off the phone with him.  He is now off the ship and drinking a beer while bowling with some friends at a base bowling alley.  I can hear his smile!  He will be disembarking from his Carrier on Wednesday, when they pull into home port in Virginia.  We will be there, and the party will be more than just fun.

Let me explain below the fold.

Two More Beautiful Women Stand Up For Edwards!

Mon Dec 10, 2007 at 04:35:22 PM PDT

While these two ladies are Democrats down to their shoes, they have insight that perhaps those that walk the halls of Congress or even spend their time behind the lights and cameras of TV or Movies are not aware of.  Still, they both should be in pictures or politics.

May I explain below?

Our son is on his way home!

Sun Dec 02, 2007 at 03:33:42 PM PDT

We just got a call from our Navy boy, and he as well as his ship full of American Sea Men and Air Men have passed through the Suez Canal towards their final destination.  The United States of America!

Wingnut YouTube Debate of Shame

Wed Nov 28, 2007 at 03:02:30 PM PDT

Damn.

Pardon my English regarding Republics.  Still, they deserve simple exclamations of surprise, disdain, and mostly hysterics at their continued foolhardishness.

Yet, no matter the Deck of Cards stacked against them, these purvayor's of futility continue to deal their bullshit to America.

Our Son will be home for Christmas

Mon Nov 26, 2007 at 05:16:44 AM PDT

Our son, who is currently doing figure 8's in the Persian Gulf on a Carrier that was deployed last spring tells us they will for sure be home by Christmas.
Sure, that has been the plan all along, but we as parents and he as a Navy Airman have all rather ignored this planned return date as being a hard date in case of of what might happen instead.
