Photodiary: NEO Kossack Meetup, 5/3/08

We had our inaugural Northeast Ohio Kossack Meetup yesterday, and had a really great time.

Despite a torrential downpour and some slight miscommunication, nine hardy Cleveland-area Kossacks met at Jimmy O'Neill's tavern for some great food, beverages, and conversation.

Ninepatch also brought doorprizes -- Kos-Orange "Cool Ties" -- a special fabric and organic salt piece that it used to help cool the neck or head of the person wearing it. She includes a camoflage version in every care package she sends to Iraq (you can read more about that project here)

First to arrive were newbyblogger and hopeful, along with their non-kossack friend Jim (who said, "I';m here to help keep you rooted in reality.")
